Select Choir - Students entering 10th-12th grade may audition to be part of this ensemble. Past choral singing experience is required. This choir will study music at the intermediate to advanced level, from varying genres, cultures, and time periods.
Open Choir - This ensemble is open to any students in 9th-12th grade who enjoy singing and desire to improve their vocal and ensemble skills. This choir will study 2-part to 4-part music dependent on the membership and skill level of the ensemble; music from varying genres, cultures, and time periods.

Grading:
40% - Performances - Concerts and Vocal Assessments
25% - Written Responses - listening journal, rehearsal reflections, concert evaluations
25% - Music literacy - Completion of on-line drills and assessments
10% - College and Career Readiness - Pride expectations, Community in the classroom
4-point Scale.... 4 = A 3 = B 2 = C 1 = D 0 = F
Re-assessments: Students who have completed formative work may re-assess on a learning target. The re-assessment must be completed within one week of the given assignment.
Student Recognition:
Student of the Month: Members of the ensemble nominate and select a student who deserves to be recognized for vocal skills or demonstrating Warrior pride. A picture of the winning student is posted in the music hallway along with positive comments from classmates.
Letter in Choir: Members of Open Choir and Select Choir can earn points by participating in performances outside of the requirements. This includes participating in Solo & Ensemble, Musical productions, Music camps and workshops, and Community performances. Students who earn 100 points within a school year receive a letter for that year.
